Inside the Horse

Service Description

Ever wondered what's underneath a horse's coat—or how such a large animal can move so gracefully? In this hands-on homeschool class, kids will explore the fascinating anatomy of the horse and discover how all of the different parts work together. Students will learn the names and functions of important parts of the horse, explore the skeleton, muscles, hooves, and teeth, and discover how anatomy affects the way a horse moves. We'll take what we learn on paper and find those same parts on a real horse, giving students the opportunity to see horse anatomy up close. We'll also talk about why understanding a horse's body is important for grooming, handling, riding, and caring for them. Ages: 6+ Length: 2 hours Riding: None Cost: $45 per student Additional siblings: $40 each Weather & Cancellation Policy The majority of this class will be held **outside with the horses**, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
