Lessons at Soulstice Stables

 

Build confidence. Develop horsemanship. Deepen your connection with your horse.

 

Lessons are one hour long and combine hands-on horsemanship with riding. At the farm, lessons are taught on one of our lesson horses, giving riders the opportunity to learn not only how to ride, but how to communicate with and care for their horse.

 

I teach English riding with a focus on both dressage and jumping, and I work with riders of all experience levels—from complete beginners to experienced riders looking to refine their skills.

 

For riders who experience nerves or anxiety around horses or riding, I incorporate mindfulness and grounding techniques into lessons to help build confidence, stay present, and create a calmer connection with the horse. There is no need to rush—the goal is to help each rider progress at a pace that feels comfortable and achievable.

 

We use a variety of spaces depending on the rider's experience and goals, including the round pen and yard. Experienced riders may also have the opportunity to ride out in the field or along the dirt road, adding variety and helping riders develop confidence in different environments.

Tiny Tots Lessons

 

Tiny Tots lessons are 30 minutes and designed specifically for our youngest horse lovers. These introductory lessons focus on building confidence, learning basic horse safety and care, and developing a positive relationship with horses through age-appropriate horsemanship and riding activities.
