Service Description

A good relationship with a horse is built on trust and clear communication. In this hands-on class, kids will begin exploring how horses learn and how we can communicate with them in ways they understand. Students will learn about personal space, pressure and release, leading, asking a horse to move, and paying attention to how the horse responds. We'll explore how patience, timing, and consistency can help build confidence and trust. With guidance from Crystal, students will have opportunities to practice simple groundwork exercises while learning to observe the horse's responses and adjust their own communication. The goal isn't to become a "horse whisperer" overnight—it's to begin understanding how horses think, learn, and communicate so we can build a better partnership with them. Ages: 6+ Length: 2 hours Riding: None Cost: $45 per student Additional siblings: $40 each Weather & Cancellation Policy The majority of this class will be held **outside with the horses**, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes are recommended. Layers are encouraged, especially during the cooler months. Classes will be held outdoors in most weather conditions, so please come prepared for the forecast. **Class fees are non-refundable for cancellations.** If severe or unsafe weather makes it necessary to cancel or reschedule the class, Soulstice Stables will notify families as soon as possible and provide information about the rescheduled date.
