Horse Sense
Learn to understand, care for, and connect with horses—no riding required.
Service Description
What does it really mean to understand a horse? In this hands-on class, kids will learn the basics of safely interacting with horses while getting to know some of the amazing things that make each horse unique. Students will learn how to safely approach and groom a horse, identify grooming tools, explore horse colors and markings, discover different breeds, and learn basic horse anatomy. We'll also introduce horse body language and communication, giving kids the opportunity to observe the horses and begin recognizing what their ears, eyes, posture, and movement may be telling us. This is a hands-on introduction to the horse that goes beyond riding and helps kids develop knowledge, confidence, observation skills, and respect for these amazing animals. Ages: 6+ Length: 2 hours Riding: None Cost: $45 per student Additional siblings: $40 each Weather & Cancellation Policy The majority of this class will be held outside with the horses, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
