Horse Care 101

Service Description

There's much more to caring for a horse than riding! In this hands-on class, kids will discover what horses need every day and learn about the responsibilities that come with caring for them. Students will explore grooming, hoof care, feeding and nutrition, hay and grain, water, shelter, blankets, and seasonal horse care. They'll also learn about the tools and equipment used to care for horses and why keeping a horse's environment clean and organized matters. Most importantly, students will get hands-on experience putting what they learn into practice with the horses at Soulstice Stables.
