Horse Care 101

Service Description

What does it really take to care for a horse? In this hands-on homeschool class, kids will learn about the daily care and responsibilities that come with having a horse. Students will learn how to safely groom a horse, identify basic grooming tools, understand what horses eat and drink, and explore the importance of clean water, proper nutrition, hoof care, shelter, and seasonal care. We'll also talk about blankets, horse equipment, and the daily routines that help keep horses healthy and comfortable. Students will have plenty of opportunities to work hands-on with the horses and practice what they learn. This class is designed to help kids understand that caring for a horse is about much more than riding—it's about paying attention to what a horse needs every day. $45 per student $40 for each additional sibling Ages 6+ | 2 hours | No riding | Limited to 8 students Weather & Cancellation Policy The majority of this class will be held **outside with the horses**, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
