Whether you're new to horses, your child has started riding, or you're considering leasing or buying a horse — this class is designed to help you feel more confident, knowledgeable, and comfortable around horses. Horses are incredible animals, but they’re also large, powerful, and require understanding to safely handle and care for them. This class provides a relaxed, welcoming environment where no question is too small. What You'll Learn: • Basic horse behavior and body language • How horses think and why they react the way they do • Safe handling around horses • Grooming basics and tack overview • Common horse terminology explained • What to expect if your child rides or leases a horse • Basic horse care and daily needs • Barn safety and common mistakes to avoid • Q&A time for your specific situation Each participant will receive a take-home packet including: • Horse safety basics • Common horse terminology • Grooming basics • What to know if your child rides or leases • Basic horse care guide • Questions to ask before leasing or buying • Space for notes This gives you a helpful reference to take home and build confidence beyond the class. This Class Is Perfect for: • Adults new to horses • Parents of kids taking lessons • Parents of kids leasing horses • Adults considering riding lessons • Anyone wanting to feel more comfortable around horses No experience necessary. Class Details: Length: 1.5 — 2 hours Format: Hands-on learning with horses (weather permitting) Group Size: Small group for relaxed learning Investment: $45 per person Includes hands-on class + take-home packet Spots are limited to keep the group small and personalized. Advance registration required.

Cancellation Policy

Booking & Participation Policy Booking & Payment: All lessons, classes, programs, and retreats must be booked and paid in advance to reserve your spot. No Cancellations or Reschedules: All bookings are final. Spots may be transferred to another participant with advance notice. Minimum Enrollment: Some classes or programs require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum is not met, you may be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund. Weather Policy: Activities run rain or shine when possible. If unsafe conditions occur, your session may be rescheduled or refunded. Arrival: Please do not arrive earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Late arrivals may result in shortened participation and will not be refunded. What to Wear & Bring: Closed-toe shoes or boots and weather-appropriate, comfortable clothing suitable for working around horses. Bring any required materials or equipment specified for your session. Safety & Liability: Follow all instructor directions for your safety. All participants (or parent/guardian for minors) must complete a liability waiver before attending. Small Group & Personalized Experience: Sessions are intentionally kept small for safety and personalized attention. Spots are limited and often fill quickly.
